December 01, 2022 Steve Schwaller

(Jackson, Mn.)– The city of Jackson is geared up for its annual HolidayFest. The event includes open houses, a food fundraiser and more. Corey Christopher from the Jackson Chamber of Commerce talked about the weekend event and highlighted some of the new ones such as the talent show…

“Yeah we’re excited about that, that’s a new event that our committee put together this year and we’re excited that it’s going to be a very family friendly entertainment schedule, we’ve got lots of participation from the area, some local some not so local.”

There will be music, family, food and fun at the event which happens all around town and culimates in the HolidayFest Lighted Parade, on Saturday at 5:30 pm. The fireworks will start at 6 pm and then there’s music at 7 pm at the Jackson Center for the Arts with Charlie Roth, and at 9 pm at Bridget’s Buscksnort’s with the Jeremy DeWall Band.

There is of course also that talent show, dubbed the Afternoon of Stars earlier on Saturday at 2 pm which will replace the opry, a holiday market and more. For a full list of events check out the Jackson Chamber of Commerce on Facebook.
