(Spencer)– A power outage that put all of Spencer in the dark for awhile this (Thurs.) morning is said to be a product of the high wind.
Amanda Gloyd, Marketing and Communications Director for Spencer Municipal Utilities, tells KUOO news the wind caused a major transmission line to break shortly before 10:30 or so this (Thurs.) morning. Power was restored around 11:45 a.m.
Gloyd says SMU apologizes for the outage, but she says there was little they could do about it as it was the result of the weather.
