(Sheldon)– A high speed pursuit in Sheldon landed a man in jail on multiple charges. 40-year-old Nathan Silberstein of Sheldon was arrested Friday. He was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of eluding at more than 25 mph over the limit. Police say speeds during the pursuit approached 100 mph at times.
Silberstein faces a number of other charges as well, including reckless driving, five counts of speeding, eight stop sign violations, no driver’s license, interference with official acts and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
A criminal complaint states that Silberstein nearly hit several people on nearby sidewalks during the pursuit.
He was being held in the O’Brien county jail at last report on a $10,000 cash or surety bond. A court appearance is set for October 17th.
