(Spencer) – Two area high school debate teams will square off at this year’s Clay County Fair.
The 9th Annual “Debate at the Fair” will feature the Spencer and Okoboji/Spirit Lake high schools debate teams. They’ll square off on the opening day of the fair, September 10, at 2pm in the Clay County 4-H Auditorium.
The topic being debated this year is: “Resolve: The benefits of post 9/11 security measures outweigh the harms to personal freedom.”
The debate will be a public forum format which will be judged by the general public. The event is free of charge.
