(Des Moines)– State Representative-Elect Megan Hess of Spencer has announced her committee assignments for the upcoming legislative session.
Hess will serve on the Education, Environmental Protection, Human Resources and Judiciary Committees. She was also chosen to serve as Vice Chair of the Judiciary Committee and will serve on the Justice System Appropriations subcommittee.
Hess was elected November 6th to represent House District two in the Iowa Legislature, which includes most of Clay county and southern Dickinson county.
She’ll be sworn in during a ceremony January 14th at the statehouse.
