(Spencer)– A national effort that provides information to help uninsured and financially struggling Iowans on programs that provide prescription medicines for free or nearly free will be visiting Spencer this coming Tuesday.
The “Help Is Here Express” bus tour will make a stop at Spencer Hospital Tuesday (July 14th) from 10:00 a.m. 12 Noon.
The tour is part of the Partnership for Prescription Awareness–a nationwide effort sponsored by America’s pharmaceutical research companies.
Additionally, patients who visit the bus can learn about new medicines in development to fight chronic diseases such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes and asthma.
The bus is staffed by trained specialists to help uninsured patients in need of information on more than 475 patient assistance programs, including nearly 200 programs offered by pharmaceutical companies.
