(Lake Park)– The head of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources will be the keynote speaker at this year’s annual meeting of the Silver Lake Improvement Association.
Chuck Gipp, Director of the Iowa DNR, will address the group at its annual meeting at 7:00 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 2nd) at the Lake Park Community Center. He’ll be talking about the important role water quality projects play in helping protect the lakes and watersheds.
The Silver Lake Improvement Association is a local organization that partners with the Silver Lake Watershed Project in its efforts to improve water quality in Silver Lake. The project works with landowners and homeowners to educate and install various conservation practices throughout the watershed.
The association will also hold an election of officers for the upcoming year at Thursday’s meeting.
