(Inwood)– A Hartley man was seriously injured Thursday when a car ran over him in Lyon county.
The Iowa State Patrol says 93-year-old Lyle Jensen of Inwood was backing out of a parking spot at an Inwood business when the vehicle accelerated backward, striking a trailer and motorcycle. The vehicle then ran over the upper torso of 51-year-old Michael Rosenberg of Hartley.
Rosenberg was airlifted from the scene to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls.
No injuries were reported to Jensen.
Authorities say the collision remains under investigation.
It happened shortly after 4:00 p.m.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Inwood Rescue and the Canton, South Dakota ambulance.
