Hartley Man Arrested On Drug Charges

November 22, 2014

(Primghar)– A Hartley man wanted on a warrant for drug charges was arrested earlier this month.

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office says 52-year-old William Collins was arrested back on October 15th on two counts of prohibited acts…delivery of a controlled substance…marijuana. Both are class “D” felonies punishable by up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $7,500.

Collins was booked into the O’Brien county jail and was released after making an initial court appearance.

Authorities say the charge stems from an investigation into incidents that allegedly took place back on February 25th, 2011 and March 3rd, 2011 in Sheldon.

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office, a member of the Iowa Great Lakes Drug Task Force, was assisted in its investigation by the Sheldon Police Department.
