(Spirit Lake)– Longtime Republican incumbent Sheriff Greg Baloun easily won his re-election bid Tuesday.
Baloun handily defeated Democratic challenger Shilo Brevik and another man, Stacy Newgard, who was running by petition.
According to unofficial results from the Dickinson County Auditor’s Office, Baloun received 6,459 votes; Brevik had 2,578 and Newgard received 621.
