(Spencer)– A Greenville woman faces a child endangerment charge following an alleged incident early this past Sunday in Spencer.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says it stems from a 911 call made by 46-year-old Colleen Madson of Greenville, who told authorities her son-in-law had entered her home and took his 22-month-old daughter. Madson also claimed she had been assaulted and that the son-in-law took the child without permission.
Upon investigating authorities determined Madson and her son-in-law were living in the same residence and that the son-in-law had parental custody of the child.
In addition, it’s alleged by authorities that Madson assaulted her son-in-law as he was attempting to leave the residence.
Madson was arrested and booked into the Clay county jail on a charge of child endangerment…an aggravated misdemeanor. She was being held on a $2,000 bond.
Authorities say the case is still under investigation.
