(Milford)– An investigation is underway into the cause of a grass fire Wednesday evening east of Milford.
Milford Fire Chief Jim Carpenter says his department was called to a report of a grass fire two miles east of Milford on County Road A-34 around 6:45 p.m.
Upon arriving Carpenter says firefighters found a fire burning in the south ditch next to a pasture owned by David Gottsche. He says firefighters were able to keep it from spreading to the pasture and quickly put it out.
Firefighters were on the scene about a half-hour.
No injuries were reported.
