(Spencer)– An effort to address a shortage of childcare providers in Spencer has been awarded grant funds through the state of Iowa. Curt Strouth, President and CEO of the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation, told the city council Monday evening they, along with the Spencer Economic Development Corporation, have been awarded a $20,000 grant from Empower Rural Iowa.
