Governor Branstad Expresses Concern Over High Number Of Drownings

(Spirit Lake)– The abnormally high number of drownings that’s taken place so far this summer in Iowa, including four in the Iowa Great Lakes alone, is drawing the attention of Governor Branstad. The Governor says the hotter than normal summer and increased number of people headed to the water because of that is a likely factor behind the increased number of drownings.
