Governor And Lt. Governor Address OEI

(Wahpeton)– Governor Terry Branstad this (Wed.) morning addressed students from the regents universities and Iowa Lakes Community College that are participating in this year’s Okoboji Entrepreneurial Institute at Lakeside Lab.

The Governor told KUOO news he’s very impressed with the institute and the assistance it gives young people looking at starting their own business. When it comes to help from the state, Branstad says it’s vital it looks at ways to help alleviate some of the regulatory barriers…(click here for comment from Branstad.).

Branstad also talked about new marketing opportunities with countries such as Chile, which he recently visited on a trade mission…(click here for comment from Branstad.)

Branstad was accompanied on his visit to the Iowa Great Lakes by Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds. She says the Governor’s STEM, or Science, Technology, Engineering and Math initiative, will play an important part on future economic development in the state…(click here for comment from Reynolds.)
