(Undated)– While things went smoothly in Dickinson county for Tuesday’s primary election, that wasn’t the case in some counties that experienced some glitches, prompting recounts.
In O’Brien county, the auditor’s office says there was an issue with paper jams in some of the tabulating machines, resulting in numbers on the machines not aligning with the number of signed declarations of eligibility. The problem occurred in three different polling precincts in the county.
A similar situation occurred in Clay county, where the board of supervisors is expected to authorize a recount as well.
A recount will also be held in two precincts in Sioux county.
