Get ‘er Done registration at Iowa Lakes Community College

November 22, 2014

(Estherville-)
Iowa Lakes Community College is hosting a ‘Get ‘er Done’ Registration Day on Monday, Aug. 26, from 8-4:30 p.m. at  the Emmetsburg and Estherville campuses.  The goal of ‘Get ‘er Done’ Registration Day is to provide a wide range of services for individuals interested in completing the entire admission and registration process in one session.  Fall classes at Iowa Lakes Community College begin at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 27.

Those interested are encouraged to arrive no later than 2 p.m. on Aug. 26 to ensure they have time to complete the process and get all their questions answered.  Diploma, GED certificate, ACT scores and college transcripts are useful if available.

“This is the first year that we are offering a ‘Get ‘er Done’ Registration Day. We are hoping to attract students who haven’t been able to find time in their busy schedules to go to an orientation. This is a great opportunity to get signed up for this year’s classes and gain valuable information and answers to questions on one day at one place,” said Admission Counselor Johnathan Jordan.

In addition to applying for admission, attendees can meet with faculty, take placement assessments and begin the registration process without taking very much time out of their busy work schedules.

One-on-one financial aid application assistance from the college’s financial aid staff, assistance with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, and information on scholarships, work study and student loans is available.
