(Spencer)– An odor of natural gas prompted the evacuation of Spencer High School Wednesday.
Spencer Fire Chief Jesse Coulson says firefighters were called to the scene at 800 East Third Street around 2:21 pm. He says multiple gas detectors were deployed throughout the building and all gas-fired appliances and rooftop HVAC units were inspected, but no leaks were detected.
Crews with Black Hills Energy were also on the scene, which was cleared shortly before 4:00 pm.
