(Spirit Lake)– A close call Sunday when a gas grill caught fire in Spirit Lake.
Spirit Lake Fire Chief David Kollasch says firefighters were called to lot 27 at A & K Trailer Court shortly before 5:00 p.m. after getting a report of a gas grill that was on fire and had spread to a deck.
Kollasch says the resident had removed the burning grill from the deck when firefighters arrived. Kollasch says they quickly extinguished the fire, which was contained to the deck itself. They also bled off what remaining propane was in the tank.
No injuries were reported.
Spirit Lake firefighters were on the scene about an hour.
