(Estherville)—An investigation into a report of a gas drive-off early Tuesday at the east Casey’s General store in Estherville resulted in charges being filed against two people.
Estherville police say they received the report around 12:10 a.m. and stopped the suspect vehicle a short time later on North 3rd Street.
Upon making contact with the vehicle, police determined the driver, 45-year-old Rory Huth of Des Moines, had a suspended driver’s license. They also discovered a passenger in the vehicle, 48-year-old Drew Nielsen of Spirit Lake, was in possession of what’s alleged to be marijuana.
Huth was charged with driving while under suspension; Nielsen was charged with possession of a controlled substance. Both were booked into the Emmet county jail.
