(Milford)-The Friends of Lakeside Lab will host another talk in their Science Seminar Series on Tuesday night. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Friends of Lakeside Lab Science Seminar Series will continue Tuesday evening with a talk by Dr. Brianna Burke, Associate Professor of Environmental Humanities and American Indian Studies at Iowa State University, who is teaching at Lakeside Lab this summer.
Burke says her talk will focus on multi-species kinship and building reparative relationships. “We are thinking about how to build relationships that are based on more than human desire , even more than human needs, that really think about the health of an entire ecosystem, because. when ecosystems are happy and thriving, human beings are happy and thriving.”
Dr. Burke will speak Tuesday evening at 7 o’clock at Mahan Hall on the Lakeside Campus. The talk is free and open to the public.
