(Des Moines)– House Speaker Pat Murphy of Dubuque has named State Representative Marcie Frevert Chair of the Legislative Administrative Rules Review Committee during the upcoming 83rd General Assembly. The committee reviews state agency and department rules proposed to implement state law.
Frevert represents Palo Alto, Emmet and Kossuth counties at the statehouse in Des Moines. She was elected to her seventh term in the Iowa House of Representatives in November.
Frevert also serves on the Agriculture, Environmental Protection, State Government and Ways and Means Committees and the the Education Budget Subcommittee.
The 83rd General Assembly convenes January 12th, 2009.
