Four Wheeler Incident Results In Arrests

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– An incident November 4th in Clay county involving a four-wheeler resulted in two arrests and several citations.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to the 4000 mile of 225th Avenue after getting a report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon investigating deputies learned 20-year-old Drew Lane of Spencer had been operating a four-wheeler in the ditch and on the roadway and that he had a suspended license.

Deputies say during the course of the investigation another person, 20-year-old Heather Prange of Spencer, lied to them.

Lane was arrested and charged with operating an A-T-V on the roadway and driving under suspension…both simple misdemeanors. Prange was arrested and charged with interference with official acts. Both were booked into the Clay county jail.

Authorities say three others were cited for operating an A-T-V on a roadway and were released.
