(Rock Rapids)– A former softball coach in Rock Rapids has pleaded not guilty to having sex with a student.
Alexis Severson is accused of having a long-term relationship with a student at West Lyon High School. She’s accused of seducing the student into a relationship that produced unlawful sexual acts.
The 26-year-old Severson resigned in September after leading the team to the state championship game in 2025.
She was charged with three counts of sexual exploitation and one count of grooming.
