November 22, 2014

(Sarasota Fl.)—A former Arnolds Park man has been sentenced after entering a no-contest plea to charges of using a computer to solicit, seduce or entice a child to commit sex acts and travel to solicit, seduce or entice a child to commit sex acts.

Frederick Joseph Wilson was sentenced last week in Sarasota county, Florida. He was booked into jail to resume serving a five-year sentence. In addition, Wilson will also be listed on the Florida sex offender registry and must serve five years of probation once the jail sentence is completed.

The charges stemmed from an investigation in May of last year into an alleged child predator operation in the Sarasota area. The sting investigation resulted in the arrests of 30 people.
