Forest City Man Announces Candidacy For Ia. House District 7 Seat

November 22, 2014

(Forest City)– A Forest City man is announcing his candidacy for the newly drawn Iowa House of Representatives District 7, which include Winnebago, Emmet, and part of Kossuth counties.

Mark Frakes is a financial advisor for Edward Jones and a former U.S. Army helicopter pilot.
Frakes is active on many local committees, boards and service clubs in the Forest City area.

He says he’s running for Iowa House because he believes it’s time to get back to the fundamental basics of limited government, with fewer regulations on businesses in order to promote Iowa as a competitive place to do business, to create more private sector jobs and to lead a smart, balanced approach to the spending of tax revenues.

Frakes is married with two children: a son who is a first year cadet at the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, and a daughter who is a senior at Forest City High School.
