(Madelia, Mn.)– Authorities have recovered another vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Jackson county.
The latest incident took place on Wednesday when an employee of a convenience store in Jackson reported to authorities that her vehicle had been taken after she started it to let it warm up and left it unattended. The woman reported the vehicle was gone when she went out to get into it.
A vehicle matching that description was spotted later by the Minnesota State Patrol on Highway 60 near Madelia where it had gone into a ditch and was being pulled out by a tow truck. The driver was identified as a 24-year-old man from Jackson. He was taken into custody in connection with the stolen vehicle.
Authorities say the suspect was also wanted on warrants for theft and trespassing out of the Twin Cities area.
