(Undated)– Flood warnings remain in effect for the Little Sioux River in the Spencer and Linn Grove areas.
In Spencer, the Little Sioux was estimated at 10.6 feet as of this (Thurs.) morning. Flood stage is 10 feet. The National Weather Service says the river is near crest now in Spencer and should drop below flood stage by tomorrow (Fri.). The flood warning for the Spencer area remain in effect until Saturday morning.
At Linn Grove, the Little Sioux was measured at 18.5 feet this (Thurs.) morning. Flood stage there is 18 feet. Forecasters say the river will continue to fall below flood stage by Tuesday. The flood warning for the Linn Grove area remains in effect until late Tuesday night.
