(Milford)– Those with interests along the Little Sioux River west of Milford should be aware that a flood warning has been issued for that area beginning Friday afternoon.
The National Weather Service says the Little Sioux at that location is nearing the 12 foot flood stage and is expected to crest at 13.8 feet early Monday. Forecasters say the rain that’s expected tonight (Thurs.) and Friday could impact that, however.
At 14 feet significant amounts of pasture and other farm lands in that area begin to flood.
The flood warning will be in effect until further notice.
