(Spencer)– The first baby of 2023 has been born at Spencer Hospital.
Hospital officials say Baker Dean Viedenkamp was born at 9:14 am January 2nd. He’s the son of Blake and Jill Viedenkamp of Spencer. Baker is also being welcomed by his brother, Maddox.
The second baby of 2023 at Spencer Hospital was delivered only about an hour or so later that same day, with the third baby of 2023 arriving a couple of hours after that.
In recognition of having Spencer Hospital’s first baby of the new year, the Viedenkamp family received a gift basket of baby items donated by the Spencer Hospital Auxiliary Gift Shop volunteers.
