(Spencer)– The first baby of 2013 has been born at Spencer Hospital.
The baby girl was born at 4:26 p.m. Thursday, January 3rd weighing 7 pounds 5 ounces. Swayzi Mahalia will join her big brother, Wylie, age three, at the family’s home in Newell. Swayzi’s parents are Abbey Bryan and Zach Hanson.
Baby girl Hanson was presented with various gifts donated to the first baby of 2013 by Spencer businesses.
Spencer hospital delivered 283 babies in 2012. 63 of those were by cesaerean delivery. 131 were females and 154 males.
