(Spirit Lake)– The first baby of 2010 has been delivered at Lakes Regional Healthcare.
Hospital officials say Cristian Hernandez was born to Jennifer Hoover and Jay Hernandez of Estherville.
Cristian was born at 6:49 p.m. January 3rd weighing 7 pounds, 12 ounces and nearly 21 inches in length.
Cristian was welcomed by two sisters: two-year-old Aubri and one-year-old Kiera.
The family was presented with a basket that included a silver cup, blankets, clothes, bath items, a picture frame, rattle, diapers and wipes.
Lakes Regional Volunteers also presented the family with a stuffed bear and a book; Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative gave the family a blanket, baby bib, stuffed animal and a cooler; and Blue Water Prairie Landscape and Design gave the family a tree and a planting of the tree.
