(Wallingford)– Wallingford Fire and Rescue wrapped up 2023 with an animal rescue.
A press release says firefighters responded New Years Eve to a report of a bull dog that was stuck in a culvert next to a house. Crews had to dig five to six feet deep to reach the tile and had to use some special equipment to cut it to locate the dog. The dog, named Reva, was successfully rescued after about an hour and-a-half. Reva wasn’t injured through the ordeal and was reunited with her family.
The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office assisted on the scene.
