(Undated)– A fire weather watch that was previously issued for the region has now been upgraded to a red flag warning. It’s in effect until 7:00 this (Wed.) evening and includes all of northwest Iowa and southwest Minnesota.
A very high fire danger remains in place with a combination of wind, very low humidity and dry vegetation. Officials say any fire that does get going will likely spread very quickly. Open burning is not recommended.
