(Harris)—No injuries were reported in a fire early this (Fri.) morning that destroyed a shed and damaged another building just west of the Dickinson/Osceola county line. Lake Park Firefighters were called to the scene at 1707 110th Street around 5:20 a.m. Upon arriving they found the shed completely engulfed in fire. Assistance was then requested from the Harris and Ocheyedan Fire Departments to assist with manpower and hauling water.
The shed and its contents were destroyed along with about 15 round bales of hay on the north side of the building. A loader was also destroyed and a nearby cattle confinement building was damaged.
The cause of the fire was ruled as accidental.
Firefighters were assisted on the scene by Lake Park Rescue, Dickinson County Emergency Management and the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.
