(Heron Lake, Mn.)– Fire destroyed a residence in Heron Lake early Friday.
Authorities in Jackson county say the Heron Lake Fire Department was called a little after 5:00 am and found the residence engulfed when they arrived on the scene. The Okabena Fire Department was called for mutual aid.
A woman was in the structure at the time and managed to get out uninjured.
Temporary arrangements have been made for the people who lived in the residence, which was destroyed.
No word on a possible cause of the fire.
Firefighters spent about six hours on the scene and had to cope with extreme weather conditions.
