(Milford)– Fire destroyed an ice shack this (Tuesday) morning west of Milford.
Milford firefighters were called to the scene at the intersection of Sixth Street and 213th Street shortly after 10:00 a.m.
Fire Chief Jim Carpenter says the 14 foot-by-eight foot trailer-mounted shanty was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived.
Carpenter says firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze. No injuries were reported.
The shanty, valued at four thousand dollars, was a total loss.
Milford firefighters were assisted on the scene by the Milford and Arnolds Park Police Departments and the city of Milford street crew, which cleaned up debris.
Firefighters were on the scene nearly an hour.
