(Orange City)– An investigation is underway into the cause of a fire early Thursday that destroyed a business in Sioux county. The Sheriff’s Office says firefighters were called shortly before 2:30 am to the scene about two and-a-half miles south of Orange City after getting a report of a fire at “The Triple Box”, a venue that hosts various events. The Alton and Maurice Fire Departments also responded.
Authorities say the business was destroyed, with the loss said to be in excess of a million dollars.
The State Fire Marshal has been contacted to assist in the investigation into a possible cause. There were no reports of injuries.
