Fire Damages Lakes Life Skills Headquarters

(Spirit Lake)– A fire this (Saturday) morning has damaged the headquarters of Lakes Life Skills in Spirit Lake. Spirit Lake Fire Chief Pat Daly tells KUOO news they were called to the scene at 1601 Keokuk Avenue around 6:20 am…

“We had smoke showing. When we got the first crew here he called back and said we had an active fire going in the basement. We sent crews in, they knocked it down. Arnolds Park came up to help us, we were a little shorthanded. We now have the siding off the back and I think we’ve got all the hot spots taken care of. I am going to be in contact with the Fire Marshal on this one and see what happened.”

There were no reports of any injuries.
