(Jackson, Mn.)– Residents of Jackson had the opportunity to meet the two candidates for City administrator on Sunday at a public reception held at City Hall. First is Jim Langborg who is from Greenfield, California…
“I have a masters degree in public administration and I have a pretty unique skill set, although the focus has been fire, EMS, but there’s a lot of background in budgeting, personnel management, strategic planning, all the things that really any organization would need, and my hope is that I can be offered the position here and I can take that experience and apply it. I think listening and doing my research I think some of the things, particularly strategic planning, I think would be a benefit to this community.”
The second candidate is Jason Baker from Oronoco, Minnesota…
“In Oronoco there’s some growth that’s going to be happening, some expansion, but just the size of the city is little bit bigger as well. So I think fitting in here I think I’ll fit in just fine. I think I’ll be able to take the experience that I’ve gotten in Oronoco and transition it to here and be able to help working with the economic development I think is one of the key strengths that I’ll have.”
The Jackson City Council will conduct formal interviews with the two finalists today (Mon.).
