(Spirit Lake)– The filing period for county officials for the November General Election officially closed as of 5:00 pm today (Wednesday).
For Dickinson County Supervisor District 3, Republican Stephen Dullard is running. Dullard defeated incumbent Republican Jeff Thee in the June Primary Election. Thee has announced he’s running as a write-in.
For the District 5 seat on the Dickinson County Board of Supervisors, Incumbent Tim Fairchild, a Democrat, faces a challenge from Republican Levi Markwardt who filed papers with a nomination by convention.
Incumbents for Dickinson County Auditor, Sheriff and County Attorney are uncontested.
There are also no contested races for seats on the Lakes Regional Healthcare Trustees, Soil and Water Conservation, Ag Extension and Iowa Great Lakes Sanitary District trustees.
