(Sheldon)– FEMA is opening another Disaster Recovery Center in northwest Iowa. This one will be located in the Community Services Center in Sheldon. It will open Wednesday, July 24th. Hours that first day will be from 1:00 until 6:00 pm, then daily from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm.
In northwest Iowa, FEMA assistance is available to homeowners and renters in Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Lyon, O’Brien, Palo Alto, Plymouth and Sioux counties.
Additional Disaster Recovery Centers are located in Cherokee, Spencer, and Estherville.
