(Burlington)– A fatal crash Tuesday afternoon near Burlington in southeast Iowa involved a truck driven by a northwest Iowa man.
The Iowa State Patrol says 87-year-old Marilyn Drebenstedt of Mediapolis was driving a 2012 Kia and was attempting to make a turn at a cross-over when she pulled into the path of a 2019 Peterbilt truck driven by 55-year-old Richard Hoops of Sanborn.
Troopers say Drebenstedt died in the crash. Hoops wasn’t injured.
