(Archer)– A Sheldon man was seriously injured Tuesday when he got caught in some farm equipment.
The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office says authorities were called to a farm site near Archer shortly after 4:00 p.m. after getting a 911 report of a man with his leg caught in what’s known as a “bale buster”.
The victim, Rodriguez Rudolphl of Sheldon, date of birth unknown, was treated on the scene by paramedics and was taken by ambulance to a Sioux City hospital after his leg was amputated. A condition report wasn’t immediately available.
Authorities say Rudolphl was attempting to loosen a clog in the machine when he fell into the auger.
The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Sanborn ambulance and Sanborn Fire Department.
