Family Nature Night Coming Up Friday Evening

February 25, 2026

Looking for a fun and free family night out? Look no further than the Dickinson County Nature Center for this month’s Family Nature Night on Friday February 27th rom 5:00 to 6:00. Amy Heibult, Community Relations Coordinator for the Nature Center says they have some great things planned…

“The evening is going to start off with a story time about endangered animals and some group discussion about what endangered animals are. And then from there, we’re going to split the group up into teams, and then they’re going to play a jeopardy style game to test out their their wildlife knowledge. After we’re done playing a good, fun round, there’s going to be prizes for first, second and third place. And then to wrap up the evening, families will get to make a craft that is inspired by our ornate box turtle. Teddy and his species is actually threatened to Iowa. So he’s kind of a unique animal ambassador here at the Nature Center.”

Registration is required by 5:00 pm on February 25th. You can register at dickinsoncountynaturecenter.com. You can also follow the nature center on Facebook and instagram for the latest updates and event announcements.
