(Spencer)– Two people were arrested this (Mon.) morning following the execution of a search warrant at 1422 3rd Avenue West in Spencer. Two occupants of the residence were taken into custody.
Police say 47-year-old Eric Peterson was charged with possession of a controlled substance 3rd offense and possession of drug paraphernalia. 51-year-old Dawn Peterson was charged with possession of a controlled substance…methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were booked into the Clay county jail.
The Spencer Police Department was assisted by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and the High Risk Entry and Arrest Team, or HEAT, in executing the warrant.
Authorities say as a precaution, some streets and the bike trail in that area were closed for a brief time until the two suspects were taken into custody.
