(Emmetsburg)– An Estherville man wanted on a valid drug-related warrant out of Lyon county, Minnesota was taken into custody Tuesday in Palo Alto county.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says 20-year-old Dylan Karns was taken into custody around 1:30 p.m. after he showed up at the Sheriff’s Office on an unrelated matter. A subsequent check by a deputy indicated Karns was wanted on the warrant on an original charge of possession of drugs.
Authorities say the warrant was issued after Karns failed to show up for a court hearing on a probation violation.
He was booked into the Palo Alto county jail pending extradition to Minnesota.
