(Estherville)– The Estherville Police Department has released details into an incident this past Saturday that resulted in charges against a Spirit Lake man.
Authorities say they were called to an Estherville residence around 5:30 that morning regarding an assault that had allegedly taken place the night before. A woman reported she had allegedly been held by her ex-boyfriend for nearly two hours and that he wouldn’t let her leave. The victim reported the man entered the house by breaking a window, and that he was asleep in her bed when she arrived home.
The victim also alleged she had been pushed down the steps by the suspect during the altercation.
Officers made contact with the suspect, 23-year-old Justin Glick of Spirit Lake, inside the victim’s residence. Following an investigation, Glick was arrested and charged with burglary in the first degree, domestic abuse assault, and false imprisonment.
He was booked into the Emmet county jail and made an initial court appearance. Glick posted bond the next day and was released, pending future court appearances.
