(Spencer)– An Everly woman was seriously injured in a single vehicle crash Tuesday in the 4700 mile of Clay County Road M27.
The Sheriff’s Office says Courtney Engeltjes was driving a 2003 GMC Envoy southbound when the vehicle left the road and went into the ditch where it rolled, coming to rest on the driver’s side.
Engeltjes was taken to Spencer Hospital and was later life-flighted to another hospital.
The crash took place shortly before 6:00 pm.
The Iowa State Patrol, Spencer Police Department, Peterson Fire and Rescue, Spencer ambulance and a towing service assisted on the scene.
