(Estherville)– No injuries were reported in the crash of an ultra light airplane Thursday evening near the Estherville Airport.
The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office says the pilot, Paul Slaughter of Estherville, was attempting to land the plane in a cornfield near the airport when it suddenly lost power.
Only minor damage was reported to the plane.
Slaughter was the only person on board.
The incident took place shortly after 7:00 p.m.
The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Estherville Police Department.
